MOSCOW, Oct 30 (PRIME) -- The iron ore output of Russian metals and mining holding Metalloinvest fell by 2.2% on the year to 10.18 million tonnes in July–September, the company said in a statement on Friday.
Production of pellets decreased by 6.9% to 6.611 million tonnes and output of hot-briquetted iron and direct-reduced iron fell by 11.2% to 1.649 million tonnes. Steel output rose by 0.1% to 1.198 million tonnes, while cast iron output decreased 24.1% to 546,000 tonnes.
In January–September, the company’s iron ore output went up by 1% on the year to 30.36 million tonnes. Output of pellets decreased by 2.2% to 20.767 million tonnes, of hot-briquetted iron and direct-reduced iron fell by 2.4% to 5.761 million tonnes, and of steel increased by 3.1% to 3.741 million tonnes,. Production of cast iron fell 13% to 1.811 million tonnes.
